The Little Prince, and the Star we each Own
~The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry~
The Little Prince or Le Petit Prince in French, is one of the best-loved novellas by millions. I have to admit in having read it many times over. Published in 1943, this short book includes a number of drawings by the author himself and it has been translated to numerous languages, aside from movie adaptations, operas, and in animated series. It might appear to be a children’s book, but the insights make profound messages for adults, relating to life and the nature of a person.
The plot must be known to readers by now. Allow me to quote a familiar message told by the fox to the Little Prince:
“One cannot see well except with the heart, the essential is invisible to the eyes.”
There are other equally beautiful but though-provoking insights from the The Little Prince, but this one touches - that we, each of us, have our own stars because we are all unique individuals. Perhaps for a business person, a star may represent wealth; to a traveler, a guiding light; to a sportman, his own sport; to an artist, a composer and a writer, a pursuit of that creative fulfillment. But each of us - alone - has our own star. It’s up to us to do something about that star.
What a loveable Little Prince! Thank you, Antoine!

Wow, I love the new header, it’s beautiful. I admit, I have never read this piece of literature. I will look it up.
Thanks Lauren. It’s your header that inspired me in the first place. I’m also enjoying your unorthodox cooking.
