 -A Mother and Child Reading-

Among the most delightful experience of children is the initiation of reading early on in their life, not to overlook an aspect that it is something wonderful to adults too, most particularly, parents.

As children, many of us have been so blest being read to. However, nothing is as pleasurable to both a child and an adult as when we adult readers can communicate our own enjoyment to a child through our own heartfelt enthusiasm. Somehow, children will know. They will feel it.

So the child begins, always imploring, “Please, please, tell me a story.”

With gratitude to all literary classic greats, beckon the classic children’s books we all love to read.

As adults, probably, some of us still have in our bookshelves, that we occasionally visit, our favourite  collection of Hans Christian Andersen treasury of books, Aesop’s Fables, Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland, E.B. White’s Charlotte’s Web. and so forth. I can rattle off what’s in my mind, will even add  Saint-Exupery’s The Little Prince, Roald Dahl’s books, and the Children’s Bible.

The reading of stories to children, especially in the case of Mom or Dad, is a significant opportunity for bonding between them, and naturally, an important experience in terms of education, and much easier to harness in later years to come, when initiation of the reading habit early on has been made as an exciting one, a most delightful read.

You probably have your own list. Please, let us have them!

    Hi Marti,

Thank you for trying to comment and having tried few times. I’m sorry that you’ve not been getting through like two others.

Hoping you’ll visit again and often. I have other posts which hopefully might interest you, friends and other readers.

I’m sure you have many other interesting books for your 3 “bundles.”

    Best, Tel
